We have tested a number of small home roasters. We are yet undecided as to which one we are going to carry. They each have their good points and their flaws. What is most disturbing is that they are only expected to last a year. I find that unacceptable. I have been roasting for the last 5-years commercially and have a passion for what I do. My brother, Terence, has a degree in design and is a top-notch machinist. What a great pair we are! It’s the right combination for designing a new roaster. That’s just what we are doing. (By the way, he enjoys brewing beer. He designs and makes his own equipment for that as well.) The roaster we are working on will be designed for a commercial environment. Once that is perfected we'll try to design it for home use also. We think we can make it reasonable and at a size that will roast more then just a few ounces.
